Do you share our determination to defend historic buildings of all ages and all types?Or does someone you know love visiting ancient and beautiful churches? Why not give friends and family the gift of knowing they have supported our work?

Gift Membership of the Ancient Monuments Society and the Friends of Friendless Churches is good value at £42 (Individual) per year – as members join two societies for the price of one. (Under 30’s qualify for discounted membership at only £25 per year.)

How to purchase Gift Membership

Go to our Join Us page and select Gift Membership.

Select ‘Yes’ under ‘Is this a gift?’ and enter the name and address of the recipient in the box. If you would like us to send the welcome pack direct to the recipient, you can add a gift message. Otherwise, please use this box to request delivery to your own address.

The last date for Christmas orders is Sunday 15th December though of course you can still join after that date, and membership packs will follow in the New Year.

Membership includes three newsletters per year, Winter/Spring, Summer, and Autumn, and a copy of the AMS ‘Transactions’ published in spring. All members are entitled to attend AGMs of both organisations, a great occasion on which to meet like-minded people in a historic setting. Members also receive invitations to our Autumn Visits – this year we went to 575 Wandsworth Road, Harmondsworth Barn, the Building Crafts College and St Mary Magdalene Paddington – and our Annual Lecture.

In the Welcome Pack, new members will receive:

  • A welcome letter from the team at St Ann’s Vestry Hall
  • Two AMS & FFC postcards AND a Christmas Card!
  • The Autumn 2019 edition of our 60-page newsletter packed with news of our activities, book reviews, and dates for your diary
  • Our ‘Transactions,’ an annual journal of new scholarly essays on all aspects of historic buildings
  • Details and access information on the 50+ churches owned by the Friends, our sister charity

The gift of Life Membership is also available at £1000 (Individual), for those who wish to make a more substantial commitment to our work.

Order on our Join Us page and don’t forget to provide the recipient’s details and to tell us whether delivery should be to you, or direct to the new member. (If you pay by PayPal, we will automatically receive the address and email associated with your account.)

The last date for Christmas orders is Sunday 15th December 2019 and while you can join at any time, Welcome Packs requested after that date will not be guaranteed to arrive before Christmas.
